Admiral Point is set to launch.

PROPERTY development company, Jomast, has entered the final stages of construction at its new multi-million-pound commercial development in Dawdon, County Durham “Durham county” redirects here. For other uses, see Durham County.

County Durham is a county in north-east England. It can be used to refer to 4 different entities:
  • the historic County of Durham
  • the administrative county of Durham
. Work on Phase Two of Admiral Point at Spectrum Business Park will soon be completed as final cladding The plastic or glass sheath that is fused to and surrounds the core of an optical fiber. The cladding's mirror-like coating keeps the light waves reflected inside the core. The cladding is covered with a protective outer jacket. See fiber optics glossary. , roof and external works at the new 35,000 sq ft business park draws to a close.

The scheme, next to Jomast's existing development, is expected to launch early next year and will include units ranging from 3,700 sq ft-15,000 sq ft. All have clear span portal frames, eaves height up to 7.65m and will be available to lease as single or multiple units. The Newcastle office of national property agent, DTZ DTZ Division Tactical Zone , has been appointed as letting agents for Admiral Point and will work closely with Jomast to attract new local and national companies to the area.

Mark Hill, Jomast's commercial property manager, said: "Completion is now definitely in sight and we expect all work to be finished in the first quarter of 2010.

"It is an ideal location for businesses that are planning ahead and looking to grow or relocate re·lo·cate

 despite the recession, and for this reason, we are looking to start potential client viewings early in the New Year.

"Phase One has already attracted many major companies to Dawdon so we are hopeful that Phase Two will do the same."

Nick Atkinson of DTZ added: "Admiral Point is the only new industrial development currently under construction in the region and Jomast is able to offer very competitive packages for occupiers looking to upgrade into high specification accommodation."

Admiral Point commands a prominent coastal position and is within easy reach of main transport links including the A19 and the Port of Seaham. Companies already at Admiral Point include Kidde Products, Orbis plc, Access Rentals, Transmark fcx and Tradesport.
