Administration division report. The Administration Division exists to support the needs of career and technical education administrators and educators at all levels. Our division is presently made up of more than 4,329 members, and we currently have two affiliated organizations: The National Council of Local Administrators (NCLA NCLA North Carolina Library Association NCLA National Centre for Laser Applications (Galway, Ireland) NCLA Northern Colorado Legislative Alliance NCLA National Church Library Association (Stillwater, Minnesota) ) and The Career and Technical Education Equity Council (CTEEC CTEEC Career and Technical Education Equity Council ). Administrators of career and technical education are facing numerous challenges, as state and federal budgets are being cut or modified, and educational priorities and methods are under pressure to change within the system. As part of our effort to maintain and improve the division's effectiveness and value to all members, we have focused this past year on meeting the primary principle objectives established by the Administration Division Policy Committee and supported by our membership. Several of our identifiable accomplishments of the division over the past year include: * Communicating developments, plans, policies and issues in the administration area to help members make improved decisions related to their schools and programs in this changing climate of needing to accomplish more with fewer resources. * Promoting high professional standards among our division membership by providing outstanding opportunities for professional growth to meet the special interests of all division members. * Enhancing professional development opportunities for division members by building bridges and establishing more dialogue with other ACTE ACTE Association for Career and Technical Education (formerly American Vocational Association) ACTE Association of Corporate Travel Executives ACTE Approvals Committee for Terminal Equipment ACTE Anodal Closure Tetanus divisions, education agencies, organizations and institutions. * Working with states and regions to identify young administrators to serve on the division's policy committee and ACTE standing committees. * Expanding efforts to improve the perception of career and technical education at all levels. * Providing guidance to help reposition the ACTE Annual Convention to be more inclusive (theory) inclusive - In domain theory, a predicate P : D -> Bool is inclusive iff For any chain C, a subset of D, and for all c in C, P(c) => P(lub C) In other words, if the predicate holds for all elements of an increasing sequence then it holds for their least upper in addressing the needs of all aspects of ACTE as well as the professional development needs of related organizations.
