Administaff Announces Appointment of John H. Spurgin, II as Special Counsel and Daniel D. Herink as General Counsel.

Spurgin, II has been appointed special counsel to the corporation effective May 2, 2007. Daniel D. Herink has been chosen to succeed Mr. Spurgin as vice president of legal, general counsel and secretary.

"For 19 years, John has provided outstanding leadership in many areas critical to our overall success in his roles as both outside counsel and, for the past 10 years, as general counsel," said Paul J. Sarvadi, chairman and chief executive officer of Administaff. "He has been instrumental in the development of the legal and regulatory framework for the entire industry, and guided Administaff's legal, corporate, ethical and regulatory compliance. John has been a valued member of the management team and will leave a legacy of addressing and resolving legal issues with the highest standards of professionalism, while at the same time meeting the company's business needs. We are delighted he has agreed to remain with the company in an advisory role."

In 2000, Herink joined the Administaff legal department. During his tenure, he has led the company's litigation and property and casualty insurance practice areas and has also worked extensively on transactional matters. He previously served as an attorney at Rodriguez, Colvin & Chaney, L.L.P. and McGinnis, Lochridge & Kilgore, L.L.P. and was named a "Texas Super Lawyers - Rising Star" by Texas Monthly in 2005 and 2007. Prior to joining Administaff in 1997, Spurgin was a partner with the Austin office of McGinnis, Lochridge & Kilgore, L.L.P., where he served as Administaff's outside counsel for more than nine years. In 2006, he was named "Outstanding Corporate Counsel with an Attorney Staff of 11 to 30" by the Houston Business Journal, and a "Texas Super Lawyer" by Texas Monthly for the third consecutive year. Spurgin is also a fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tulsa and his law degree from The University of Texas School of Law. Spurgin also holds a master's degree and a Ph.D. from the University of Denver Background and rankings
