ADIPEC consistently brings together world leaders, and on the first day proudly welcomed British Prime Minister Gordon Brown who spoke passionately about current and future world energy demands. The first time a Prime Minister has ever attended ADIPEC, Gordon Brown addressed ADIPEC's Executive Plenary Session on "Working together to deliver sustainable growth: Innovative Teams and Technology Deployment" before going on to meet with His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nayhan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi.

Running from 3-6 November, ADIPEC 2008 is hosting 1,500 exhibiting companies showcasing the latest technologies, in addition to the strongest conference programme ever featuring 250 top industry speakers. Organised by dmg world media, ADIPEC 2008 has broken all previous records.
