Technicote has developed Recycling Compatible Adhesive (RCA220), a paper label product line that is designed to meet the recyclability requirements of the federal government. According to Technicote, an RCA label requires a paper label with an adhesive that can be substantially removed during paper recycling by screening or other conventional paper recycling operations. It cannot cause processing problems such as plugging screens, valve sticking and adhesive buildup. The product features seven standards in stock paper face materials, and the ability to produce other specialty papers with RCA220 acrylic permanent adhesive.
