in Key Clinical Management Position

Adeza Biomedical Corporation has appointed Durlin E. Hickok, M.D., M.P.H. as Vice President of Medical Affairs.

In this key position, Dr. Hickok will be working with all facets of clinical management. His primary function will be to oversee clinical and regulatory affairs, establish care pathways/guidelines, identify new research projects, interact with physicians, and work closely with managed care organizations.

Dr. Hickok continues to hold an academic appointment at the University of Washington as Clinical Professor of Epidemiology and Ob/Gyn in addition to being a member of the Graduate Faculty. He has more than 80 publications on topics including preterm preterm /pre·term/ (-term´) before completion of the full term; said of pregnancy or of an infant.

Prior to joining Adeza, Dr. Hickok was Vice President and Medical Director for Omnia, Inc., a health care company that develops and manages regional Ob/Gyn networks. Dr. Hickok's residency and fellowship training were at the University of Washington, Department of Ob/Gyn, where he also received a Masters Degree in Public Health through the Robert Wood Johnson Robert Wood Johnson was the name shared by members of the family that descended from the President of Johnson & Johnson:
  • Robert Wood Johnson I (1845-1910)
  • Robert Wood Johnson II (1893-1968)
  • Robert Wood Johnson III (1920-1970)
 Clinical Scholars Program. He has served in a variety of capacities including Chief of the Department of Ob/Gyn at Virginia Mason Medical Center Virginia Mason Medical Center (VMMC), founded in 1920, is a private, non-profit organization located on Seattle, Washington's First Hill offering a system of integrated health services. Gary S. Kaplan, MD, serves as chairman and CEO, and J.  in Seattle, Washington.
