Adero Announces Acquisition of Fast Engines Enabling Reliable Delivery of Distributed Applications and Intelligence to the Edge of the Network.

Adero, Inc., a leading provider of global content distribution services designed for e-business, today announced the acquisition of Cambridge, MA-based Fast Engines, a leader in distributed application An application made up of distinct components running in separate runtime environments, usually on different platforms connected via a network. Fast Engines brings to Adero the industry leading and proven expertise for enabling and accelerating Web applications on distributed servers. The Fast.Serv applications architecture enables customers' application servers to scale efficiently and to run faster and more reliably. The integration of these capabilities into the Adero GlobalWise(TM) Network will provide e-businesses with the infrastructure and tools needed to distribute and run applications worldwide.
