Adept Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq:ADTK), a leading manufacturer of flexible automation for the fiber optic, telecommunications and semiconductor industries, today announced a strategic OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  agreement with Shibuya Kyogo of Japan. The agreement enables the companies to partner to develop new high-precision photonic Dealing with light (photons). The agreement with Shibuya is another step in Adept's ongoing strategy to address photonic manufacturing challenges worldwide. Shibuya's experience in developing and building standardized precision workcells, coupled with their 8 years of experience with Adept software, controls and robot systems as a leading Adept system integrator, will enhance photonic solution offerings in the Asian market.
