Automation Products Throughout Taiwan

Marketech, a leading provider of semiconductor equipment based in Taiwan, provides equipment to semiconductor fabs, mask shops, LCD manufacturers and LED epi-wafer manufacturers. Marketech expands its product offerings with this partnership to include Adept's line of SCARA and Cartesian robots, linear modules, motion controllers, minienvironments, standard mechanical interfaces (SMIF) and simulation software.

Under the agreement Adept will provide Marketech with industrial robots, linear modules, flexible feeders, PC controls, vision guidance technology, custom minienvironments, standard mechanical interface (SMIF) and simulation software. Adept robots include a complete line of high-speed SCARA and Cartesian robots capable of handling payloads from 12 to 330 lbs. Adept's MV family of automation controllers integrates robotics, motion control, machine vision, force sensing, and manufacturing logic in a single control platform. The AdeptVision VXL vision system is designed for automated product inspection, measurement, and motion guidance. Adept's software offerings include real-time operating systems, robot programming language, machine vision algorithms, graphical user interface and network protocols. Adept's minienvironments and SMIF components reduce contamination on in-process wafers by isolating processing equipment and wafers in ultraclean minienvironments within a semiconductor fab.
