Adept Technology Names Michael Overby as Chief Financial Officer.

Adept Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADTK), America's largest manufacturer of industrial robots and a factory automation leader, today announced the appointment of Michael W. Overby, to the position of vice president and chief financial officer effective immediately.

Overby, who has been serving as Adept's director of finance and corporate controller since joining the company in 1999, will assume responsibility for all internal financial control functions, treasury functions and external reporting to the SEC. Overby replaces Kathy Fisher, who recently decided to pursue another business opportunity.

Prior to joining Adept, Overby was the financial executive for DG Systems in San Francisco. Prior to that, he was Corporate Controller and Director of Information Systems at Inprise Corporation formerly Borland, a public software company. Overby earned his CPA at Deloitte & Touche and holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from California Polytechnic State University.
