 EZ, the latest product offering in Adept's 200mm SMIF pod opener line, at the SEMICON SEMICON Semiconductors Equipment and Material International Conference  West 2001 tradeshow (Adept booth No. 3306) in San Francisco San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden , Calif., which runs July 16th-20th. The new pod opener will expand Adept's cleanroom contamination product line.

"Additionally, the Adept SMIF EZ will be available to OEMs choosing to integrate their front-end automation."

The Adept SMIF EZ utilizes a single, centrally mounted lead screw (Mach.) the main longitudinal screw of a lathe, which gives the feed motion to the carriage.

The Adept SMIF EZ also features adjustment free pod lock mechanisms, an optimized stepper motor drive and a modular build design. The Adept SMIFF EZ provides an economical, highly integratable solution for 200mm front-end automation applications.
