Established in 1901 (www.spanglercandy.com), Spangler, the world's largest candy cane manufacturer, uses 32 Adept robots to package its candies, which include Dum-Dum lollipops(R), circus peanuts, and Saf-T pops(R), as well as the candy canes. The company uses Adept vision-guided robots to inspect each candy cane, ignore those that lack the proper length and appropriate crook, then pick up each piece that passes inspection and place it properly in the cradle packaging.
