Adecco Where-the-Jobs-Are Report Shows Salt Lake City and Much of Utah Still an ``Employee's Market''.

SALT LAKE CITY -- In advance of the Utah state unemployment report, Adecco (NYSE:ADO), the staffing industry's market leader in the U.S. and the world, today announced it is seeing an increase in demand for call center workers and employees in the product distribution, biotech and medical devices sectors in Salt Lake City and much of the state of Utah. This is one of many areas across the country where Adecco is responding to a growing need for contingent workers from employers in a variety of industries.

Daniel Mergens, Adecco's area director in Salt Lake City, says, "With the holiday season approaching, we are seeing a strong demand for workers in product distribution and we expect that to continue through December."

Adecco has also responded to a pan-industry demand for call center workers as well as for line assembly professionals in Salt Lake City's biotech and medical devices sectors. Mergens explains the challenges associated with recruiting top talent for employers in a state where the unemployment rate is at a year-low, saying, "Utah is definitely an 'employee's market' at the moment, which simply means the onus is on us to leave no stone unturned when recruiting talent for these positions."

Mergens further pointed to a noticeable increase in the number of area retail outlets to illustrate the health of the state's economy. "Looking around the marketplace, some national retailers have established themselves in Salt Lake City and throughout the state, which has opened even more job opportunities. The state is doing quite well."
