, Gebon was cited for her exceptional work in creating business opportunities for minority-owned suppliers in the public and private sectors.

For the last decade, Gebon has dedicated herself to minority business development working with small, disadvantaged businesses to ensure equal opportunities for suppliers. An active board member of the New York/New Jersey Minority Purchasing Council, Gebon has served on several development committees including the Supplier of the Year Selection Committee, the 2001/2002 Expo Planning Committee planning committee n (in local government) → comité m de planificación , the Certification Committee and the Mentor Protege Committee.
