Job seekers throughout the state with clerical and administrative skills should be aware that now is the time to investigate temp, temp-to-hire and full-time positions. As Wells points out, "Orders for these positions are up throughout the state compared to this time last year. This is good news on two counts. First, administrative jobs return only when companies are well into recovery mode, because administrative people support new initiatives and an increase in business. Second, the fact that temp-to-hire and direct-hire positions are available means that employers are ready to make commitments to hiring full-time people now and in the future."

Adecco releases its monthly "Where the Jobs Are" report in advance of the U.S. unemployment report to provide more depth and breadth to the employment picture in selected regions. The report is based on interviews with Adecco recruiters across the country. As Wells says, "If the volume of orders coming into our offices is any indication of the strength of Florida's economy, and we believe it is, we have every reason to be optimistic."
