Ohio is one of many areas across the country where Adecco is responding to a growing need for contingent workers from employers in a variety of industries.

Renee Wade, Adecco branch manager in Mansfield, says, "An increase in orders has ramped up production, creating the need for a larger manufacturing staff at many companies, including general assembly, machine operators and welders. As a result, we are also seeing a particularly strong demand in the warehousing, distribution, and logistics industries, which need entry-level general labor warehouse workers and forklift operators. Often, when production steps up, companies need to fill positions that support the increase in business, and we are seeing that here, with more call for administrative and call center professionals."

Temporary clerical/administrative positions are also available as the current work force takes summer vacations."

Debbie Hollingsworth, Adecco branch manager in Sunbury, adds, "Job seekers should take note that in addition to traditional temporary hiring, Adecco branches are receiving more requests for temp-to-hire and direct hire candidates, especially in manufacturing and high-end clerical and customer service positions. There are currently more opportunities to convert temporary assignments into full-time positions as companies are using temp-to-hire positions as a recruiting method to increase their permanent workforce."

The report is based on interviews with Adecco recruiters across the country and consists of press releases that report on hiring trends in regions experiencing employment growth.
