NEW Manchester City recruit Emmanuel Adebayor Emmanuel Adebayor (born February 26, 1984 in Lomé, Togo) is a Togolese football player who currently plays for Arsenal. He had previously played for FC Metz and AS Monaco. He is of Nigerian descent via his parents who were born in the Osun State in south-west Nigeria.  has blamed his decision to leave Arsenal on his poor relationship with the club's fans.

The Togo international was booed by sections of the Gunners faithful last term after a summer which saw him strongly linked with a move from the Emirates Stadium The Emirates Stadium is a football stadium located on Ashburton Grove in Holloway, north London, and the home of Arsenal Football Club since it opened in July 2006. The stadium has an all-seated capacity of 60,432,[1] .

Adebayor said: "The way the fans behaved towards me was not nice at all. I did my best for them.

"I scored 30 goals in a season - it's not my fault Milan, Barcelona or Real Madrid wanted me."
