Addvalue Communications Selects GMPCS Personal Communications for Distribution of Inmarsat BGAN Terminals; GMPCS Places Initial Terminal Order From Addvalue.

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. & SINGAPORE -- Addvalue Communications (AVC), today announced the appointment of GMPCS Personal Communications Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Telenor Satellite Services, as Master Distributor for its Inmarsat Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) terminals.

Inmarsat BGAN service, currently planned for commercial launch in 2005, will offer high-speed circuit-switched and packet data services, plus voice telephony, via a portfolio of small, lightweight user terminals. The enhanced capabilities of the BGAN system will be made possible through a new generation of satellites, known as Inmarsat 4. The Inmarsat 4 spacecraft will be the most powerful communications satellites ever launched by a commercial organization.

As a demonstration of its commitment to this new satellite communications technology, GMPCS has already placed an initial order with Addvalue Communications for BGAN terminals.

The capabilities of BGAN will include the delivery of Internet and intranet content and solutions, LAN and WAN connectivity, video on demand, videoconferencing, fax, e-mail, phone and local area network access at speeds of up to 432Kbps. Users and markets for these services encompass both the existing customers of Inmarsat - which include users from the military, forestry, media, mining, petroleum, governments and agencies - as well as new markets focusing on corporate users and enterprise solutions.
