, Samantha S. Burg, a doctoral student at the same university, became interested in this occurrence when she was a student teacher and her students did not want to take tests in class.

Cizek has dedicated the majority of his teaching career to examining and writing about performance standards. Cizek and Burg share their experiences on such topics as: defining test anxiety, the effects of test anxiety on students and teachers, the causes of test anxiety, and measuring test anxiety.

Educators will relate to this book tremendously and will be able to recognize what their students are experiencing. Some of the leading symptoms of text anxiety are mentioned and ideas are given as to how educators can assist their students in these areas.
