Addonics Technologies today announced its FireWire Storage Solution -- a IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, New York, www.ieee.org) A membership organization that includes engineers, scientists and students in electronics and allied fields. 1394A interface cable that provides fast data throughput across the entire Addonics portable storage device line, with support for both PC, Macintosh and iMac systems.

One cable supports all Addonics Portable Storage Devices, which includes the Addonics 100MB PocketZIP, 120MB LS-120 Pocket SuperDisk, Pocket CD, Pocket DVD DVD: see digital versatile disc.

The cable includes a built in FireWire hub that enables daisy-chaining of up to 193 devices. The Addonics FireWire cable achieves a sustained Data Transfer Rate -- up to 16 Mbytes/second and also supports isochronous Time dependent. Real time voice, video and telemetry are examples of isochronous data.
