 on November 12 and 13, 2006, marks the 10th anniversary of the Slate 60, a list of the most generous charitable contributors in America published each year by the influential online magazine, Slate. The gathering will feature panel discussions, keynote speakers, and a dinner honoring the attendees. President Clinton will deliver the keynote address.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg is a leading philanthropist and recently announced a donation of $125 million to combat smoking around the world.

Steve Case is the co-founder of America Online (AOL (A division of Time Warner, Inc., New York, NY, www.aol.com) The world's largest online information service with access to the Internet, e-mail, chat rooms and a variety of databases and services. ) and Chairman and founder, with Jean Case, of the Case Foundation. Jean Case and First Lady Laura Bush recently announced a partnership between the Case Foundation and the US government to install 4000 water pumps in 10 African nations and bring clean water to 10 million people.

Justin Rockefeller co-founded the nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, Generation Engage, a grassroots campaign to promote civic engagement among young Americans.
