Addison Greenway, a welding student at South Carolina's Greenville Technical College, won first place in the Associated Builders and Contractors Craft Championship in welding. The competition was held March 5-8 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Last year, as a student at Mauldin High School, Greenway was named state champion in welding through the Skills USA competition. Greenway was a dual credit student, earning credits through Golden Strip Career Center and Greenville Tech while in high school. Associated Builders and Contractors is a national association representing more than 24,000 merit shop construction and construction-related firms in 78 chapters across the United States.
