, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 12, 1997--A new package of services has been launched to complement and enhance Internet Service Provider Internet service provider (ISP)

The services, announced today by Andrew Corp., allow ISPs to offer complete messaging solutions to their subscribers.

By using the new electronic messaging See e-mail and messaging system.  services companies can exchange business correspondence safely and reliably between sites or with customers and partners.

"The Andrew services for ISPs provide that convenience in a way that has never before been available through standard Internet mail."

The service package includes: notification of new e-mail via phone or pager; retrieval and reply by phone, fax, pager, and Web browser The program that serves as your front end to the Web on the Internet. In order to view a site, you type its address (URL) into the browser's Location field; for example, www.computerlanguage.com, and the home page of that site is downloaded to you. ; a personal fax service allowing faxes to follow wherever the client travels; the secure and reliable transportation of e-mail messages over the Internet; and virtual private networking -- integrating e-mail systems, including translation and synchronization of directories, within a single enterprise, between multiple smaller remote offices, or between business partners.

Benefits of the new service package include the ability for remote or mobile workers to simplify their message access for e-mail, voice, pager, and fax. Message notification is proactive; for example, users can elect to have important messages sent immediately by pager or telephone, rather than leaving them in e-mail until they can be conveniently retrieved.
