Addiction Medicine Associates Opens New Medical Office In Weymouth.

Weymouth Medical Practice offers addiction and preventive medicine

WEYMOUTH, Mass. -- Addiction Medicine Associates (AMA) is proud to announce the opening of Weymouth Medical Practice.

"Patients in Weymouth now have access to the 'sobriety maintenance' health model," said Dr. P.S. Kishore, founder of Addiction Medicine Associates and practitioner of addiction medicine since 1974. "We have seen a phenomenal response to this long-term health program across Massachusetts because it stresses the prescription of non-toxic substances, provides patients with coping skills they need to remain sober and tailors treatment to specific medical conditions. We are confident that we will receive a similar response in Weymouth."

In addition to sobriety maintenance, Weymouth Medical Practice's multi-disciplinary staff comprised of physicians, nurse practitioners and social workers offers patients "de-addiction" treatment, a process that treats emotional addiction as well as the physical addiction. Patients also have access to home detoxification, a much less expensive and more effective option to in-patient care that allows patients to maintain their dignity while learning how to cope with the temptations found in their own environments.

In addition to its primary services, Weymouth Medical Practice offers pharmacological therapies, support groups, pre- and post-detoxification physicals, drug and alcohol testing/urinalysis, hospital detoxification as needed, and acupuncture.

Weymouth Medical Practice is located at 814 Broad St. in Weymouth. The office is open Monday through Friday with hours of 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon. For more information, please call (781) 337-0550.
