Added dimension to Halsted jar caps.

RPC Container Halsted have introduced new versions of their 80mm and 110mm closures for wide-mouth jars.

Developed in conjunction with the technical teams at RPC Corby and Blackburn, the caps have been designed in particular for these sites' respective multi-layer polypropylene and PET jar ranges, further enhancing RPC's total packaging service for customers.

The 80mm cap complements RPC Corby's multi-layer foodservice jar range and offers both practical and aesthetic enhancements. It features an updated, more rounded external profile, and the internal gate system means there is no scar on top of the cap. Interchangeable inserts allow the incorporation of logos or different textures on the top surface for maximum brand differentiation on-shelf.

A continuous threadform gives a more secure fit, thereby reducing moisture ingress, while a modified wad retention head can accommodate a wide range of liner specifications. Concentric sealing rings on the inner top surface of the cap have improved the performance of wadless foils.

RPC Halstead have also installed a new wadding machine, which has enhanced the company's ability to offer a wide range of different liner types.

The 110mm cap offers similar benefits for PET jar customers in the choice of liner types, including the availability of wadless foils, enabling them to tailor the cap to their particular applications.
