A court or courtyard is an enclosed area, often a space enclosed by a building that is open to the sky.
 Gardens will receive rent supplements, provided by BC Housing to help bridge the gap between the market rent and what some tenants can afford.

Courtyard Gardens, operated by Diversicare since 1990, was one of B.C.'s first assisted living developments, with 107 units. With this announcement, 40 homes will be made available for seniors in need of affordable housing and support services support services Psychology Non-health care-related ancillary services–eg, transportation, financial aid, support groups, homemaker services, respite services, and other services . The 40 funded assisted living units will be filled as vacancies are created. It is expected that the subsidized sub·si·dize

1. To assist or support with a subsidy.

2. To secure the assistance of by granting a subsidy.
 assisted living units will be filled by the end of February 2007.
