Adbot Introduces Rotating Banner Click-Throughs.


CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 3, 1997--At the conclusion of the October 1 auction, Adbot Inc., the auction market for Internet advertising Delivering ads to Internet users via Web sites, e-mail, ad-supported software and Internet-enabled cellphones. Also called an "ad network," Internet advertising organizations act as a middleman between the advertiser and the Web sites and software publishers that display the ads. , announced the introduction of a new Rotating Banner Click-Through ("RB Click") model as well as the addition of four new Content Networks: Finance & Investing, Real Estate, Business Management, and Career. Adbot currently offers a range of 21 Content Networks.

Once again, the October 1 auction was a sell-out with every category going at the ask or higher. Highlights included some Business & Finance impressions selling at $6.80 (almost $2.00 above the ask), Computers & Technology clicks at up to 20 cents (five cents above the ask), and Women's Interest clicks at $.162 (more than four cents above the ask).

Strong advertiser interest in Click-Throughs prompted the introduction of RB Clicks. In the most widely used model of selling web ad space -- page views -- banner ads A graphic image used on Web sites to advertise a product or service. Banner ads come in numerous sizes, but are often rectangles 460 pixels wide by 60 pixels high.
