:ADSO) today announced that Motorola's VECOMP(TM) solutions for high performance signal processing See DSP.  will incorporate software and architectural technology licensed from Adaptive.

Motorola announced the VECOMP technology in March 1996.

Adaptive Solutions will also use processors based on Motorola's VECOMP technology as part of its strategy for addressing the document and forms processing markets. Incorporation of VECOMP technology allows Adaptive Solutions to use industry standard parallel processing parallel processing, the concurrent or simultaneous execution of two or more parts of a single computer program, at speeds far exceeding those of a conventional computer.  microprocessors This is a list of microprocessors. "Motorola's VECOMP parallel processing technology will provide a tremendous competitive advantage for Adaptive Solutions," said Adaptive Solutions' founder and interim CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  Dan Hammerstrom. "We have partnered with the largest silicon technology company for our mutual benefit. "We have several customers who see advanced image pre-processing as an essential ingredient to improve accuracy and throughput for next generation document and label processing. Along with our customers, we plan to use this parallel processing technology in a wide range of image processing applications," said Greg Holman, who manages sales for Adaptive Solutions. "We are pleased that Adaptive Solutions has selected Motorola's VECOMP technology as the basis for their high performance image processing product," said Charlie Ashton, manager of marketing and system engineering for Motorola's Wireless Systems Center. "VECOMP technology provides breakthrough levels of system performance for high-end signal processing applications such as wireless infrastructure and image processing. Motorola has worked closely with Adaptive, as well as other leading OEMs, in the definition of VECOMP-based processors and software."

As a part of the development of enabling software tools for VECOMP processors, Motorola licensed key software and architectural technology from Adaptive. Based on this agreement, Adaptive Solutions has begun to receive royalty payments from Motorola.

Adaptive Solutions Inc. designs and markets advanced image processing systems for use in forms and label processing applications. The company was founded in 1988.
