accelerator boards for Adobe Photoshop See Photoshop.  will be bundled with the award-winning ScanPrepPro(TM).

This combination of massive parallel processing parallel processing, the concurrent or simultaneous execution of two or more parts of a single computer program, at speeds far exceeding those of a conventional computer.  hardware acceleration and intelligent-automation software produces the ultimate Photoshop production system.

PowerShop, the world's fastest Photoshop accelerator, accelerates Photoshop functions by factors of up to 1,000 percent over the fastest Macintosh systems, delivering unmatched speed increases to computation-intensive tasks such as unsharp mask, rotate, color transformations, Gaussian blur and many others.

ScanPrepPro is a production auto pilot for Photoshop, guaranteed to produce the highest quality, press-ready line art, halftones and color separations.

Adaptive Solutions is demonstrating this powerful system at Seybold Seminars in San Francisco in Booth no. 3325, Sept. 27-29.

"We've never found a processing engine fast enough for ScanPrepPro functions," said Herb Paynter, president, Flamingo Bay/ImageXpress. "Adaptive Solutions' PowerShop provides power and speed for ScanPrepPro, quickly optimizing each image for the printing process. It's a marriage made in heaven."

"Our customers continuously demand the highest quality and fastest performance," said Bob Anundson, vice president of new business development for Adaptive Solutions. "The combination of these two unique products fills that need."

The PowerShop acceleration family is composed of two products: PowerShop/NuBus and PowerShop/PCI. Both products come factory-configured with 4MB of memory on the board. This memory is utilized to provide maximum throughput across either bus. PowerShop is available now through a select channel of service providers, with a street price of around $2,000.

Adaptive Solutions, headquartered in Beaverton, pioneered parallel processing for the desktop and embedded applications. Adaptive designs and manufactures parallel processing products using the CNAPS CNAPS Center for Northeast Asian Policy Studies  architecture for pattern recognition applications, including image processing and neural networks.
