Adaptive Broadband Receives Nasdaq Notice Related to Late Filing of Form 10-K.

Business Editors/High-Tech Writers

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 19, 2001

Hearing Requested to Appeal Delisting;

'E' to be Added to Stock Symbol April 20

ADAPTIVE BROADBAND CORPORATION (Nasdaq National Market:ADAP) announced today that it had received a letter from The Nasdaq Stock Market notifying the company that its securities are subject to delisting because it has not yet filed its Form 10-K for the transition period ended December 31, 2000. The company has requested a hearing before the Nasdaq Listing Qualifications Panel, which will stay the delisting of the company's securities pending the Panel's decision. As a result of the filing delinquency, the fifth character "E" will be appended to Adaptive Broadband's trading symbol, which will be changed from ADAP to ADAPE at the opening of business on April 20, 2001.

Adaptive Broadband announced on March 15, 2001, that it expects to restate its revenue and cost of revenue for the quarter ended June 30, 2000, and is reviewing its financial results and financial reporting practices for that and other past periods. Because of this review, the company's December 31, 2000, audited financial statements and March 31, 2001, unaudited financial statements will not be completed until after the date previously scheduled for the announcement of its first quarter results. As a result, the company has postponed the conference call previously scheduled for April 26, 2001, and will announce the new date for that call when it is determined. In any event, the company expects to cure the filing delinquency identified in the Nasdaq letter by filing its December 31, 2000, Form 10-K prior to the date set for the Nasdaq hearing.
