Adaptec CEO and Chairman Saviers Resigns; Company Founder Larry Boucher Appointed Interim CEO.


MILPITAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 30, 1998--Adaptec, Inc. today announced the resignation of Grant Saviers, 54, Chairman of the Board and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. , effective immediately.

The Board of Directors has appointed company founder Larry Boucher, 55, as interim CEO. A search for his replacement will begin immediately. In addition, John Adler John Herbert Adler (born August 23, 1959) is an American Democratic Party politician, who has served in the New Jersey State Senate since 1992, where he represents the 6th Legislative District. , 61, former Adaptec chairman and CEO, has been named to the Board.
