Mac's enjoy special importance in the CD-R market because of CD-R's wide acceptance in graphics houses and the pre-press industry, traditional strongholds of that platform. Adaptec indicated that ownership of leading software programs on both Windows and Mac platforms clearly points the way toward cross-platform compatibility for CD-R users.
