), the global leader in innovative storage solutions, today announced its participation in the Intel Server Applications Enabling Program, a measure that supports OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  development, configuration and shipment of Intel-Architecture-based server solutions. Unveiled June 27, 2000 at PC Expo, the program features eight server configurations ("recipes") using Adaptec storage connectivity technology.

"Adaptec is pleased to join Intel's Server Application Enabling Program," said Lee Caswell, vice president of the OEM Solutions Group at Adaptec. "This program is intended to assist OEMs in implementing server solutions based on Intel products.
