"Roads, pipes, facilities, and homes are aging and the cost to fix them is huge. Also the need to create and provide appropriate services for an ever-growing aging and immigration immigration, entrance of a person (an alien) into a new country for the purpose of establishing permanent residence. "We are immensely pleased with the vital role that Mayor Novak is playing in building Northglenn, Adams County Adams County is the name of twelve counties in the United States. "Through her leadership skills and understanding of key issues, Kathie is not only helping to shape a bright future for Northglenn, she understands the benefits and synergies that come from regional and strategic partnerships with other cities, the county and regional organizations like ACED."

Novak is working with municipal leaders nationwide to find affordable, viable solutions for a variety of problems facing today's cities. The NLC provides resources to leaders of more than 18,000 cities, towns and villages to help strengthen and promote them as centers of opportunity, leadership, and governance. Novak's goal is to provide a bigger voice not just for Northglenn and the cities of fast-growing Adams County, but for the entire rapidly developing western United States Noun 1. western United States - the region of the United States lying to the west of the Mississippi River

"Issues in the West are a lot different than the East," Novak said. "Newer, growing cities, and a different economy. I'll be presenting concerns that are truly important to western towns and cities in order to make a greater impact. NLC has given me the tools and support to serve my citizens by teaching me how to become a better communicator and leader, and how to advocate and lobby these issues effectively."

As Mayor of Northglenn, Novak is leading a renaissance in this northern suburb of metro Denver by promoting redevelopment of residential areas and improvements to commercial areas throughout the city.
