Adams, Harkness & Hill Hires Eric Prouty to Head its Emerging Energy Research Group.

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 28, 2001

Adams, Harkness & Hill, the Boston-based investment bank specializing in emerging growth companies, announced today that Eric A. Prouty, a leading energy technology analyst, has joined the firm as principal of its Emerging Energy group.

Prouty, 31, comes to Adams, Harkness & Hill from the San Francisco San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden  offices of Robertson Stephens, Inc. While at Robertson Stephens, Prouty served as a vice president and senior energy technology analyst covering growth businesses focused on the changing global energy and transportation industries.

While at FAC/Equities, he most recently covered the new energy and power technology space, which included distributed generation, renewable energy Renewable energy utilizes natural resources such as sunlight, wind, tides and geothermal heat, which are naturally replenished. Renewable energy technologies range from solar power, wind power, and hydroelectricity to biomass and biofuels for transportation. , energy storage and power quality/reliability and alternatively powered vehicles and eEnergy solutions. Prouty also worked for State Street Research and Management Company for four years.

Prouty holds a Bachelor's degree in economics and history from Dickinson College Dickinson College, at Carlisle, Pa.; coeducational; Methodist; founded 1773 as The Grammar School, chartered and opened as Dickinson College 1783. It was named for John Dickinson.  in Carlisle, Pennsylvania Carlisle is a borough in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, 18 miles (29 km) west by southwest of Harrisburg, the State capital. Carlisle is located within the Cumberland Valley, a highly productive agricultural region. As of the 2000 census, the borough population was 17,970. .
