Among Eight L.A. Newspaper Group Newspapers to Use AdStar's Service

) (Nasdaq:ADSTW), a leading software and application service provider for the classified advertising industry, has signed a contract with the Los Angeles Newspaper Group The Los Angeles Newspaper Group is an umbrella group of local daily newspapers published in the greater Los Angeles area by MediaNews Group. The news coverage of the newspapers are mainly local stories.  (LANG), a division of MediaNews Group Not to be confused with Media General, an unrelated newspaper and TV group.
MediaNews Group, based in Denver, Colorado, is one of the largest newspaper companies in the United States.
, to provide Web-based classified advertising sales functionality for LANG's eight member web sites.

As a result of the agreement, AdStar will power the online classified ad transaction services for LANG's newspapers, including the Inland Valley California's Inland Valley is a region that inlcudes parts of San Bernadino, and Riverside counties. As the name implies, the Inland Valley is situated on the inland side of the Santa Ana Mountains in southern California.
