Ziff's new entry, Computer Life, is reflected in the 10-month ad-page counts. CMP's latest launch, NetGuide--a guide to cyberspace--will not affect page counts until next month. "It's been a very strong year for CMP," said Ken Cron, the company's president of publishing. "We've had four successful launches, each reflecting our commitment to delivering the full technology spectrum--the builders, the sellers, and the users--and the market has responded." Looking at market share points, CMP rose from 20.8% in October '93 to 23.9% in October '94 while Ziff-Davis dropped from 27.0% in October '93 to 23.4% in '94. The shift results in CMP claiming the largest share, leading Ziff by .5 share points in comparison to the same time last year, when CMP trailed by 3.6 share points. The gap was 3.6 share points in Ziff's favor last year; now CMP is ahead by .5 share points.
