Acxiom and Strategic Mapping ink agreement; major reseller pact covers GIS technology, data products.


CONWAY, Ark.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 20, 1995--Acxiom Corporation (Nasdaq:ACXM) and Strategic Mapping Inc. Acxiom's new marketing tool, Acxiom MarketGeo(TM) is a geographic information systems geographic information system (GIS)

SMI will take Acxiom's data and offer it to users of SMI's Atlas GIS and Conquest systems, allowing easy access to data stored in the Acxiom MartketGuide(SM) suite of database access tools.

In addition, SMI will create new proprietary segmentation products using InfoBase(TM) data. An Acxiom company, InfoBase offers a wide variety of database and analysis products. Through these products, Acxiom covers the full range of data enhancement and analysis needs and offers the customer the ability to customize these products to meet specific client needs.

The addition of Acxiom data allows SMI to continue expanding its data offerings as part of an ongoing strategy to provide the most complete set of marketing information available from one company.
