Acxiom Acquires Database Marketing Units From Deluxe Corporation.

CONWAY, Ark.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 4, 1999--Acxiom(R) Corporation (Nasdaq: ACXM) today announced that it has acquired three database marketing units from Deluxe Corporation (NYSE: DLX) in a cash purchase transaction that was signed on December 31, 1998. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The database marketing units are expected to add over $20 million in annual revenues and to be neutral to earnings for the current fiscal year.

Deluxe Data Resources, Deluxe MarketWise, and FUSION Marketing are database marketing units primarily focused on providing data content, customer relationship management, and database marketing services to financial services direct marketers.

Deluxe Data Resources, based in Laguna Hills, California, is one of the largest compilers of real property information in this country. Deluxe MarketWise, based in Bloomington, Minnesota, provides customer information management software to retail banks and credit card issuers. FUSION Marketing, based in Memphis, Tennessee, builds and executes sophisticated data-driven marketing programs for retail banks.
