Acxiom(R) and DII Combine Strengths To Help Catalog Marketers Improve Contact Stream.


LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Acxiom(R) Corporation (Nasdaq:ACXM) and Decision Intelligence, Inc. today announced a new solution to help catalog catalog, descriptive list, on cards or in a book, of the contents of a library. Assurbanipal's library at Nineveh was cataloged on shelves of slate. The first known subject catalog was compiled by Callimachus at the Alexandrian Library in the 3d cent. B.C.  marketers improve their contact stream to send the right catalog at the right frequency to the right customer.

The new solution, called Acxiom's Contact Optimization Solution, combines Acxiom's data expertise and Acxiom Personicx(R) segmentation system with DII's analytic capabilities to develop the optimal promotional contact strategy for each customer. Using a customer-centric approach, this solution assigns each customer the contact stream that generates the maximum return on the advertising investment by setting the appropriate investment budget and choosing the best offers.

The solution is applicable to any outbound marketing campaign - direct mail, email, telemarketing telemarketing, the practice of selling goods or services to customers by means of the telephone or of surveying consumer preferences in telephone conversations.  and any multi-channel combination.

Consumer theory uses the concepts of a budget constraint and a preference ordering to analyze consumer choices.  to control the amount invested in each customer, thereby ensuring an acceptable ROI.
