Actuate International User Conference Wraps Up With Excitement Regarding Future of e.Reporting for e.Business.

With tremendous enthusiasm from customers including Bank of America, Freddie Mac, Goldman Sachs, Starbucks, Sun-Netscape and Time Warner regarding the future of e.Reporting, Actuate(R) Corporation (Nasdaq:ACTU), the pioneer in e.Reporting(TM) for e.Business, wrapped up its third annual user conference last week in San Francisco.

The event provided an opportunity to examine and discuss Actuate's position in the Internet infrastructure space as seen through the eyes of customers and partners.

The Actuate user conference kicked off with a review of the company's achievements for the past year as well as some insight into the organization's product strategy. Attendance for the three-day event was twice that of last year and included speakers Dave Rome, vice president of marketing, Ariba, and Timothy Andrews, CTO of Viant.

Another conference highlight was the Product Advisory Council meeting, which featured high-profile companies such as Kinko's, Northwestern Mutual Life and SAFECO. During these sessions, customers and partners discussed their use of Actuate for publishing data to their e.Business Web sites and the importance of extending these applications beyond the firewall. Today, more than one-quarter of Actuate's customers use the product outside the firewall, with this number expected to grow by 100 percent in the coming year.
