, 3400 Market Street, Riverside, CA. Keynoting this event will be former child star, pop singer, writer, spokesman and civil rights activist, Paul Petersen.

Petersen, who describes himself as a "product of PR," will discuss the effect public relations has had on his career and its impact on the image of other child actors.

Petersen began his career as one of the original Mousketeers on Walt Disney's "Mickey Mouse Mickey Mouse

Famous character of Walt Disney's animated cartoons. He was introduced in Steamboat Willie (1928), the first animated cartoon with sound. Mickey was created by Disney, who also provided his high-pitched voice, and was usually drawn by the studio's head animator,
Club." He is most remembered for his role as Donna Reed's son, "Jeff Stone Jeff Stone is a common name that can refer to different people:
  • Jeff Stone, an author
  • Jeff Stone, a MLB outfielder
  • Jeff Stone, a politician
  • Jeff Stone is the new name of Jeff Gillooly, who is the ex-husband of former ice skating star Tonya Harding.
," on the hit television series "The Donna Reed Show" that ran from 1958-1966. As a child star, Petersen experienced the worst that can happen when an actor matures after playing a successful child role in a long-running series. In Hollywood, the tide can suddenly turn and a child actor can go from being in high demand to being ignored by the Hollywood elite. Petersen survived this experience while many of his contemporaries did not. The life lessons he learned along the way made Petersen an advocate for protecting other child actors. Petersen formed A Minor Consideration, an outreach organization assisting child actors and their parents as they face the pressures of the entertainment industry.

In addition to his television career, Petersen has co-starred in movies, recorded chart-topping pop songs and has written several adventure novels.

The event is $55 for PRSA-CIEC members and $65 for non-members/guests. Payment may be made by check, money or purchase order made payable and mailed to: Public Relations Society of America, P.O.
