Activplant Appoints CA'TM' Executive as New CEO.

LONDON -- Seasoned executive brings 25 years experience to fastest growing MI company in North America 

Activplant, the standard in performance management solutions for the world's leading manufacturers, today appointed Ted Williams to the role of Chief Executive Officer. Williams, who joins from Computer Associates (CA) and who was an eleven-year veteran of MRO Software, will lead the company's strategic direction and business growth effective immediately. Williams succeeds Dennis Cocco, the current CEO and President, who will assume the role of Chief Product Strategist. The transition is part of a growth plan announced by Cocco in July 2005. As Chief Product Strategist, Cocco will apply his industry knowledge and technology expertise to create solutions that drive immediate value for customers.

Williams comes to Activplant from Computer Associates, where he served as the Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales Operations. Prior to that, Williams was the Executive Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations of Concord Communications, where he directed the company's global sales force, managed its international reseller network, and oversaw its professional services team.

Prior to joining Concord, Williams was Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales for MRO Software, a strategic asset management software provider that helps manufacturers extend asset life, decrease operating costs and enable efficient supplier collaboration. As part of MRO Software's management team, Williams substantially contributed to the company's impressive revenue growth of more than 700 per cent since the early 1990s and directed the original Maximo product line. He also served as President and Chief Operating Officer  of Comac Systems Corporation, an enterprise software start-up.
