SPORTY teachers at a Selly Oak Selly Oak is an area in south Birmingham, England. It is also a council constituency, managed by its own district committee.

Birmingham Selly Oak is a parliamentary constituency; its member of Parliament is Dr Lynne Jones.
 primary school are setting a healthy example for their pupils.

Deputy head teacher at Raddlebarn Primary School in Gristhorpe Road, Kerri James, has just returned from the World Triathlon Championships in Australia where she represented Britain in her age group.

She came in the top 40 in her category and is now in training for a cross country ride and duathlon season.

, Fiona Chamberlain, the school's head teacher, plays league hockey for Blossomfield and along with a number of other teachers, parents and governors, is running in the upcoming Birmingham Half Marathon A half marathon is a road running event of 21,097.5 meters, or 13 7/64 miles, about 13.1 miles. It is half the distance of a marathon and usually run on roads. .

Fiona said: "We have a very active staff with a number playing sport or involved in physical activity on a weekly basis and we believe this is an important message to get across to the children" She said the school was committed to promoting healthy lifestyles for its children.
