 Voice Processing System.

The E-Mail Integration package gives users more control than ever before to manage their communications from anywhere in the world at any time, providing complete 24-hour access to e-mail messages by telephone and fax.

E-Mail Integration includes two modules: E-Mail Notify/Delivery for e-mail message notification, and E-Mail Reader See e-mail program.  for listening and replying to e-mail messages by telephone. The E-Mail Notify/Delivery module includes e-mail messages along with voice and fax messages when users check their universal mailbox.

Repartee provides information about e-mail messages -- including sender names and attachments -- so users can quickly prioritize them and respond accordingly. E-Mail Notify/Delivery can send e-mail to a remote fax machine when users are out of the office, enabling them to review long documents at their convenience.

E-Mail Reader converts e-mail text into the spoken word using text-to-speech capability, reading e-mail headers and body text, and providing the option to play attached audio files or read text attachments on the telephone. The module also enables Repartee users to respond to e-mail messages via telephone.

Responses to other Repartee users are delivered as subscriber-to-subscriber voice mail messages. If the original sender isn't a Repartee user, the response is converted to a WAV file The native digital audio format in Windows. Using the .WAV file extension, 8- or 16-bit samples can be taken at rates of 11,025 Hz, 22,050 Hz and 44,100 Hz. The highest quality (16-bit at 44,100 Hz) is the sampling rate of an audio CD and uses 88KB of storage per second.  and embedded in an e-mail reply. The original sender can then play the WAV file on any standard platform PC with a multimedia sound device.

"E-Mail Integration is a significant step in our quest to make communication simpler," said Douglass S. Anderson, vice president of sales and marketing. "We are giving users the power to control communications In telecommunication, control communications is the branch of technology devoted to the design, development, and application of communications facilities used specifically for control purposes, such as for controlling (a) industrial processes, (b) movement of resources, (c)  through a single tool no matter where they are in the world."
