ActiveWorks Cambio Adapter to Provide Fast, Easy

eBusiness Integration for Telecommunications Firms

Active Software, Inc. (Nasdaq:ASWX), a leading provider of eBusiness integration software products, and Cambio, a global leader of network inventory and management software, today announced a strategic partnership to help the solve the complex problem of telecommunications eBusiness integration.

Under terms of the agreement, Active Software and Cambio will work together to develop an ActiveWorks(TM) Adapter for the Cambio netRunner(TM) application and deliver rapid eBusiness integration solutions between netRunner and other enterprise applications. Active Software/Cambio Partnership

Under the terms of the agreement, Cambio will develop and ship an ActiveWorks Adapter for the Cambio netRunner application suite. The Cambio netRunner Adapter will be an Intelligent Adapter designed to take advantage of all the bold new features of the ActiveWorks Integration System Release 4.0.

In addition, the two companies will cooperatively market and sell the eBusiness integration solution which combines the Cambio netRunner Adapter, ActiveWorks Release 4.0, and Cambio netRunner application suite, and ensure the successful delivery of these solutions for customer deployments. The Cambio netRunner Adapter is expected to be available from Cambio in Q2 of 2000.
