Active Software Announces Technology Licensing Agreement with Calico Technology; Calico Technology to Embed ActiveWeb in Concinity.


SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 2, 1997--JAVA ONE--Active Software today announced an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  agreement with Calico Technology that enables Calico to incorporate Active Software's ActiveWeb Information Broker into Calico's Concinity line of sales configuration and electronic commerce products.

Calico has adopted ActiveWeb as its application-to-application and application-to-Web intelligent transport layer. ActiveWeb ensures that messages reach their intended destination in the needed format, in the correct order, exactly once.
