(TM) Integration System is being used by Bouygues Telecom, a leading French mobile operator, in a multi-million dollar deal. Bouygues Telecom is deploying ActiveWorks to build the integration infrastructure for its next generation Information System. All applications including Web-based systems will be integrated using this infrastructure, to streamline Bouygues' operations and business relationships with its partners and to achieve enhanced Internet-based customer service.

One of the first projects Bouygues Telecom plans to deploy using ActiveWorks is a Web portal that will offer customers a range of interactive services, such as eCommerce and eBilling. To enable this, Bouygues Telecom must integrate a whole range of existing back-office systems, including Siebel CRM and SAP. ActiveWorks will provide the enterprise backbone for the rapid integration of all these systems and will act as a platform for the roll-out of leading edge Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) services in the future.

"We chose ActiveWorks following a six-month evaluation process as we believe it will provide a robust, strategic infrastructure to cope with all Bouygues Telecom's current and future integration needs," said Yves Francois, CIO at Bouygues Telecom. "Internet-time means speed is of the essence in rolling out new services and keeping customers happy. The ease-of-use and rapid integration capabilities of ActiveWorks will help us remain at the forefront of customer service and strengthen our competitive position in the French market."

Roy Murphy, VP EMEA for Active Software, commented, "Bouygues Telecom has recognized the crucial part that eBusiness integration has to play in today's organizational success. ActiveWorks can deliver immediate results, and will quickly provide Bouygues Telecom with an end-to-end integration capability, bridging the gaps between back-office systems and the interface with the customer."

Bouygues Telecom plans to use ActiveWorks to underpin the next generation of mobile phone and Internet integration that it will launch by the end of this year.
