Flywheel/Motor-Generator and Power Electronics

Operating Successfully At Over 6 kW

Active Power, Inc., of Austin, a developer and manufacturer of battery-free power quality solutions, today announced it has successfully operated a critical subsystem of its telecom continuous power system (CPS (1) (Characters Per Second) The measurement of the speed of a serial printer or the speed of a data transfer between hardware devices or over a communications channel. CPS is equivalent to bytes per second. ).

"By achieving this first milestone in our telecom CPS product development, we have demonstrated that we are on schedule with this program," said Joe Pinkerton, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Active Power.
