Active Paper's Presto!Mail To Be Bundled With Envoy 150 Wireless Communicator From Motorola.

:MOT) have reached an agreement through which a demonstration edition of Active Paper's award-winning Presto!Mail 1.0 product is being bundled with every Envoy(R) 150 Wireless Communicator from Motorola.

Presto!Mail is the first product to offer direct Internet e-mail access for Magic Cap personal communicators A concept for a handheld device that was co-created by Toronto engineer Robert J. The personal communicator was conceived to provide always-on, wireless connectivity to a nationwide, packet-switched communications network that would enable mobile . About Presto!Mail and the Presto!Works Suite of Applications

Presto!Mail is the first product in Active Paper's Presto!Works family of Internet connectivity applications for Magic Cap. Active Paper is currently developing the second Presto!Works application -- Presto!Links, a full-featured, graphical World Wide Web browser The program that serves as your front end to the Web on the Internet. In order to view a site, you type its address (URL) into the browser's Location field; for example, www.computerlanguage.com, and the home page of that site is downloaded to you.  designed with Magic Cap-based personal communicators in mind. Presto!Links works with PPP-based Internet service providers, including hypertext hypertext, technique for organizing computer databases or documents to facilitate the nonsequential retrieval of information. Related pieces of information are connected by preestablished or user-created links that allow a user to follow associative trails across the  links and full graphical access.

Active Paper is also currently developing Presto!Plus for servers, a unique proxy architecture that enhances performance and functionality of communicator-based Web access. Future products include Presto!News, an news browser for accessing and exploring Internet-based news groups.
